Brehm Basketball is on a Winning Streak!

Both Brehm basketball teams have been on a roll this week, winning each game!

The Brehm Prep (Varsity) Basketball team, undefeated in 2010, has won five straight games so far. The most recent win was against Mid-Continent University, with Brehm holding them down at 81-67, preceded by a 98-70 win against Missouri Baptist University JV.

The Brehm Basketball team also overpowered Carbondale Trinity at 67-54 and Westwood Baptist Academy at 47-38.

"Both team's chemistry is very good right now," said Athletic Director Greg Douglas. "They are all supporting one another and playing very well."

Neither team will play again until mid-February. Brehm Prep (Varsity) will play Webster University JV in St. Louis on February 12th in St. Louis, with the Brehm Basketball team taking on Carbondale Trinity on February 11th at home.

What is Brehm?

Brehm is an accredited junior-senior high school. A family style boarding school for students, grades 6 through 12, with complex learning disabilities.

OPTIONS Program at Brehm serves post high school students with learning disabilities who need to further develop academic and social skills required for success in college, vocational/technical school, and the workplace.

Brehm Preparatory School Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, offers a unique holistic program that individually addresses each student’s academic, emotional, and social needs.

Brehm uses the term “complex” learning disabilities in recognition that students experience difficulties in multiple areas of functioning. Brehm’s holistic program focuses on the combined academic, social and emotional effects of having a learning disability.

Our students often have multiple diagnoses affecting their performance with the core issue of having a language-based etiology. We recognize the combined effects of LD/ADD, language based processing issues, executive function issues and the social and psychological implications of not being successful in an academic environment. Brehm offers direct interventions for students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, NLD, aspergers, anxiety disorder, tourettes, auditory processing disorder, speed of processing disorders and interventions requiring behavioral and emotional support as it relates to academic issues.
