Time is Running Out to Lower Your Tax Bill for 2009.

Time is running out to lower your 2009 tax bill by making your 100% tax deductible donation to Brehm School or the OPTIONS Program before Friday, January 1st, 2010.

Contributions are deductible in the year made, so donations charged to a credit card (online or via phone) before the end of the year count for 2009, as do checks, as long as they are mailed by Thursday, December 31st, 2009.

There are 3 easy ways to make your contribution:

3. Send a check via US Mail by Thursday, December 31st, 2009 to: Brehm Preparatory School, 1245 E. Grand Avenue, Carbondale, IL 62901

All donations go to the Brehm Annual Giving Campaign for student programs, staff development, campus development, and the general fund. If you'd like to direct your gift, just reply to this email.

Tuition and fees pay for the day-to-day operations but we are indebted to our faithful donors who support the full educational experiences we have to offer. Your help is greatly appreciated.

What is Brehm?

Brehm is an accredited junior-senior high school. A family style boarding school for students, grades 6 through 12, with complex learning disabilities.

OPTIONS Program at Brehm serves post high school students with learning disabilities who need to further develop academic and social skills required for success in college, vocational/technical school, and the workplace.

Brehm Preparatory School Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, offers a unique holistic program that individually addresses each student’s academic, emotional, and social needs.

Brehm uses the term “complex” learning disabilities in recognition that students experience difficulties in multiple areas of functioning. Brehm’s holistic program focuses on the combined academic, social and emotional effects of having a learning disability.

Our students often have multiple diagnoses affecting their performance with the core issue of having a language-based etiology. We recognize the combined effects of LD/ADD, language based processing issues, executive function issues and the social and psychological implications of not being successful in an academic environment. Brehm offers direct interventions for students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, NLD, aspergers, anxiety disorder, tourettes, auditory processing disorder, speed of processing disorders and interventions requiring behavioral and emotional support as it relates to academic issues.
